Chain of Custody Policy Statement
BGW, S.A, is committed to implementing and maintaining Chain of Custody management system in accordance with the requirements of the FSC® – Forest Stewardship Council® (License code FSC® C177937).
BGW, S.A, declares not to be directly or indirectly, involved with the following activities, considered unacceptable by the FSC:
- Illegal logging or trade in illegal timber or forest products;
- Violation of human and traditional rights in forest operations;
- Destruction of high conservation values in forestry operations;
- Significant conversion of forests to plantations or other non-forest uses;
- Introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations;
- Violation of any of the main ILO conventions as defined in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
A BGW, S.A, undertakes to comply with the legal requirements applicable to its activities and to health, hygiene and safety conditions at work, also ensuring compliance with the FSC Basic Work Requirements covering the following fundamental principles and rights at:
- Freedom of association and effective recognition of the right to collective negotiation;
- Elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labor;
- Effective abolition of child labor;
- Elimination of discrimination in employment and occupation.
